TOP 5 FAVORITE FACE POWDERS

This is the second part of my "Top 5 favorites" series! This time, on my favorite powders!

If you take a look at my make-up collection, you would probably get shocked at how many face powders I own. I do have oily skin and one way to control the oil is by applying powder. Yes I admit, I do hoard powders because I feel like I can't get enough hahaha is that normal? Okay let's start

For my first favorite, I think you guys know what it is already! It's the Rimmel Stay Matte!

This is probably one of the most raved about face powders I know. From international beauty gurus to local gurus, this is probably one of the most featured because of its longevity on your face. I've had this powder for years now and it still looks pretty okay! It keeps me matte for a good amount of time. I don't put this under my eyes though because it makes it look cakey and nobody wants that. It does settle into my lines but that doesn't affect me as long as it keeps me matte! Its scent doesnt bother me as well. I got the shade translucent so it could go with either a lighter or darker foundation. Price of this here in the Philippines ranges from 300-450 depending on where you buy.

My second favorite is the Sephora 8hr Mattifying Compact Powder Foundation

Sephora isn't available in the Philippines yet so I asked my dad to get this for me when he was in Singapore. This wasnt actually what I wanted but this was what my dad got so I just used it anyway hahaha little did I know, this powder is going to be one of the staples in my make up routine. During the first few months since I got it, this was literally what I used everyday! I used it both as my foundation (I used a damp sponge and applied it wet) then set it with the powder itself because it was so good. It lasted on my face but not 8 hours like it promised. It also does a good job in mattifying my face! All in all a good powder but nothing that will blow your mind. Price is 950 pesos!

For my third favorite, it would have to be my MAC Studio Fix.

Of course this would be in my favorites! I'm still a student so I had to save up for this since I didnt want to ask from my parents since it's not really a need. Definitely an investment but reading all the reviews, I just had to get one for myself. I actually got two shades.. NC35 and NC40 since I wasnt sure what shade I was and I assumed that if I mix them together, I'd get the perfect shade. This powder is amaaazing! Coverage wise, I think this is the best in the market. You dont need that much because the powder itself is so pigmented already. The lasting power on my face is incomparable to other powders I've tried. If I could just pick one favorite powder, this would be it. Price here in the Philippines would range from 1200-1600 depends on where you buy it but I got it for 1,600 pesos!

Fourth favorite would be the 4U2 Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA ++

I remember getting this powder in the most random way! I was in line already to pay my items in the SM department store and this girl in front of me bought about 4-5 pieces of this powder and she was talking about how good it was and how she never finds it in the mall near her so she hoarded. I was so intrigued because I mean how can a product that looks like that be so amazing. So I looked for 4U2 and asked the saleslady for a new stock. I got mine in the shade 03. I tried it for the first time when I got home that time and it mattified my face immediately! The 03 shade is actually a tad bit dark for me but that's okay since this is what I use when I put on a lighter foundation so it'd be balance. This also lasts me a good amount of hours and it's not cakey!! It also smells good (for me) so that's a plus! It's also really affordable at 299! I'm currently on my 4th pan of this powder!

For my last favorite, it would be the Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder!

I got this powder after a few weeks of using my Colorstay foundation. I thought that the foundation was so amazing that if I put this on top, my make up wouldnt move throughout the day! This powder did not disappoint and it my foundation really stay put when I had this on. I actually compared this to my Studio Fix powder since it looks pretty similar shade wise. I don't oil up as much with this powder but even when I do, it still looks good as if nothing happened. Probably one of the best ones at the drugstore! Price is usually 600 when you buy it in malls!

That's it for my top powder favorites! Hope this helps!!
