REVIEW: Phytogenic Infinite Foundation SPF20 PA++

It's always a constant struggle for people with oily skin to find the perfect foundation. I honestly think that I found it in my Revlon Colorstay but I feel that it's too heavy on my face so I decided to try another foundation that can possibly be a replacement to my Colorstay.

So I decided to try TheFACEShop Phytogenic Infinite Foundation SPF20 PA++

It's the white bottle with the grey-ish cap. I'm not sure if the packaging is the same in every country but here in the Philippines, it's the white bottle with a grey cap. This costs about ₱825.00 and I bought mine in The Face Shop in Eastwood (ground floor). During my visit, there were 3 shades that were available and they were NB23, NB21 and NB25 but I got NB25 because that was closest to my skin tone. Actually, this is probably the first foundation shade that suited me the best as in THE BEST, shade wise. I was actually skeptic at first because I've never tried any foundation from their brand. I usually buy eyebrow products and nail polishes from them but never literal face products.

PROs:

  • It's definitely a huge plus that it comes with a pump
  • The consistency isnt too runny and not too thick
  • It doesnt have a pungent smell
  • Medium coverage (but you can build it up)
  • Lasts for about 3-5 hours but you have to set it with powder
  • Readily available in almost all branches of The Face Shop
 CONs:
  •  Doesnt last all day :-( You can literally feel your face oiling up after 5 hours so you have to keep blotting your face throughout the day
  • It doesnt apply well using  a sponge. You have to use a brush for better results
  • If you want full coverage, you might need to put on 2 or more layers
  • Limited shades

I personally like this foundation! I cant really say that it has fully taken over the Colorstay as my new favorite foundation but there's a possibility since I've been using this more than my Colorstay since the day I got it. I can definitely recommend this to people with oily skin since it could last you a few hours without oiling but this would be even better for people with normal/dry skin! Since I love this foundation, I'm definitely thinking of trying out more products from the Phytogenic line and even other The FaceShop products!
