This is going to be a series wherein I list down and describe my top 5 favorites may it be foundation, mascara, eye shadow palette, blush etc. Hopefully, I get to do as much as 10 categories for this series! So today, I decided to do a list of my top 5 favorite foundations because I mean everyone loves foundation. This is going to be a variety of powder foundation and liquid as well. I do have oily skin so some products I will be mentioning may not work on you as it has worked on me.
So for my first favorite, it would have to be the Revlon Colorstay. For this foundation, I am in the shade Warm Golden. I'm sure most of you guys have seen it but here's a photo:
Here's a swatch:
I loooove this foundation! This has been my holy grail for years and years and years now! There are a few foundations now that could possibly replace this but this will still hold a place in my heart (WHAT) because it was the first ever foundation I used. It suits my oily skin well and its longevity on my skin is amazing! It can last me a hot, sweaty and busy day! It actually even looks better once I have it on longer together with sweat hahaha but seriously! If I know that I'll have a long day ahead of me, this is definitely the foundation I will use! Price would range from 800-900 pesos but you can buy it for a cheaper price online.
For my second favorite, it would have to be the Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse!
I've gone through 2 bottles of this foundation already and I think that says a lot about how amazing this foundation is. I was a bit skeptic at first because the saleslady who was assisting us that time told me that she had this on and it lasted her a long time but she had dry skin! I'm really oily so I cant just trust her and think that this would last me even a few hours. What sold me was the texture of the foundation. It had like a mousse texture (Ya that's probably why they called it dream liquid mousse hahahah) and mousse-y textures usually look good on my skin so after deliberating on whether I should buy this or not, I finally caved in and bought it! I was so happy when I got home and tried it!! It looked like my foundation was airbrushed!!! It looked so good!!! Doesn't last as long as my Colorstay would but okay na! Probably 4-5 hours til I oil up. Super love the finish! Price: 600-650 pesos.
Third favorite is a local! Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake!
This foundation has changed the powder foundation game locally since some people say that it could be a possible dupe to the Mac Studio fix powder. I didnt want to buy this at first because I thought it was a bit too pricey for a local product since most powder foundations in the drugstore would normally cost 150-250 pesos and this was priced at 399 pesos! But after trying it out, I could say that it really is worth the price. It lasts me a long time without retouching and I really like the scent of the powder itself! It smells like newly baked vanilla cake hahahah! This is highly suggested for people with oily skin! Coverage wise, I suggest you use a damp sponge to get maximum coverage but even if you use it as is with a brush, I think the coverage is still pretty good.
Fourth favorite foundation is Covergirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2in1 foundation!
This will always be in one of my favorites because I remember getting this foundation on my birthday! Not as a present or anything hahah i just really wanted to buy new make up and this was new that time so I decided to try it since I love Covergirl anyway. This foundation is probably the darkest shade of foundation I have. I am in the shade Warm beige. I usually have to set it with a powder that's lighter than my skin tone to match it up. Hate the fact that I always have to do that but this foundation is too good not to use! Lasts all day and the consistency is pretty thick but wow super blendable! Feels lightweight on the skin like literally nothing's on your face!! Highly recommended for oily skin as well! I've had this foundation for about 2-3 years but the bottle still looks like it has more product than what's actually left! Love the scent the Olay gives it it as well! Definitely a must try!!!! Price is 800+ if I remember it correctly.
So for the last and final favorite.. It's the Phytogenic Infinite Ex Foundation spf 20 PA++ from TheFaceShop!

I've done a separate review for this product so just check that out in case you havent. But to give you a gist, this foundation has been used non stop since I got it! The texture is okay, the scent is the typical foundation scent and the staying power on my skin is amazing! Read more from my previous post about this! Price is 825 pesos!
So that is it for my top 5 favorite foundations! Next up will probably be my favorite powders! Look out for that! Til next time :-)
